Carolyn Brookes, MD, DMD is a native of Shorewood, WI. A board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, she is passionate about delivering exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable environment. Whether the reason for your visit is routine or unusual, Dr. Brookes looks forward to helping you.
Dr. Brookes is passionate about and experienced in orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, jaw surgery for obstructive sleep apnea, treatment and reconstruction of benign cysts and tumors of the jaws, and management of craniomaxillofacial trauma. She enjoys customizing office based anesthesia to deliver safe and effective care. Removal of wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, and general dental surgery are also significant areas of interest.
She received her DMD summa cum laude from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and her MD with distinction from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she also completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery training. She went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric maxillofacial surgery/cleft and craniofacial surgery at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining OFP Surgical Arts, Dr. Brookes served as the division chief and residency program director for oral and maxillofacial surgery at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Brookes has numerous publications and has lectured regionally and nationally. She was a founder of and serves as the section editor for the Resident’s Corner in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She remains active in multiple professional societies and commits to continuing education to ensure she can provide you with the most contemporary treatment options.
She and her husband, Ned, have two young children. They enjoy cooking, traveling, biking, skiing, and being outdoors as a family.
